Aussie Millions Satellite Tournaments

If you’ve ever played poker in any of Australia’s casinos or regional tournaments, you’ll know that the poker action in Australia is sizzling hot!

Nothing get’s hotter than the Aussie Millions tournament at the Crown Casino in Melbourne. Crown is famous for being the venue where 2005 WSOP winner Joe Hachem honed his skills and also where NZ’s own Lee Nelson won $949,694AUD in 2006 when he took out the coveted Aussie Millions title.

Crown has all the class of a Vegas strip casino and it’s right on our doorstep (well, it’s a 3 hour flight away).

Now over 10 years old, the Aussie Millions tournament is one of the most popular on the worldwide poker circuit and often attracts the biggest stars of poker to try and take out the title.

If you’d like to play in the Aussie Millions this year and don’t want to pony up the entry fee, try winning a seat in one of the satellites listed below.

PokerStars is running daily satellites to the Aussie Millions qualifiers from now until January 6 2011. Buy-ins start at $7.50 and go all the way up to $530, and you can even play FPP satellites. To register, open the PokerStars lobby, click ‘Events’ and ‘Special’.

Weekly Satellites

The $530 Aussie Millions satellites run every Sunday at 02.30 ET, from December 19-January 9, 2011.

The $33 3xTurbo Aussie Millions satellites run each Monday and Thursday at 05.40 ET from December 13-January 6, 2011.

One prize package for every USD$12,592 in the prize pool will be awarded. The more players that enter, the more prize packages you can win.

PokerStars is also offering a seat-only qualifier each Wednesday at 05.40 ET from 15 December-January 5, one seat will be awarded for every USD$10,648 in the prize pool.

Don’t forget that you can also buy in directly to any of the weekly satellites, without having to win a seat in a qualifier tournament.

Cake Poker has satellite seats to the Aussie Millions running EVERY day of the week up until DEcember 19th. They have satellites from as little as $1.10 up to $374.

This Sunday you could win a seat in the tournament as part of their $14000 prize package.

Each package includes:

$10,600 AUD NLH Main Event seat.

Aussie Millions prize package winners will also be able to participate in exclusive Full Tilt Poker activities during the event, including poker instruction from members of Team Full Tilt.
